We are a husband and wife farming team who left their city jobs in Oct 2008 to run an ecologically sound small farm in Stirling-Rawdon in the County of Hastings. In April 2017 we packed up our farm into a 40ft container, loaded our goats into a trailer and made the 1800km journey to Nova Scotia.
We employ Organic growing methods to provide you and your family with nutritionally dense food.
We have ran a 64 member CSA since 2010 in Ontario and we hope to re-establish this in the coming years here in Nova Scotia.
Our animals are raised on pasture to allow them to show their natural "animalness"!
Vegetables are grown using only Certified Organic seed. We grow using no pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers. We fertilize our market garden using kelp, glacial rock dust, black earth, certified organic compost and green manures.
Why don't we pay more attention to who are farmers are? We would never be as careless choosing an auto mechanic or babysitter as we are about who grows our food."— Michael Pollan
